  Victory History Should Not Be Tampered with and Eefiled, the Russian Struggle for Maintenance of Russian Version of the WWII

  The Soviet official viewpoints about the Second World War and the Great Patriotic war are based on Stalin’s view on paper. After the cold war happened, the Soviet official viewpoints were challenged by West, then were questioned and criticized by Khrushchev, Suvorov and Gorbachev. Putin rebuilt the point of view system of Russia’s WWII history by writing history textbooks and great patriotic war, at the same time, Russia is in hot dispute with the West on historical memory and historical explanation, so that to strengthen Russia’s national identity and cohesion. However, Mr Putin’s values and world outlook resulted in such situation that he can’t win the tough battle for history.

  The Soviet Union and the Construction of the Regimes in North Korea(1945-1949)

  Initially Soviet policy on North Korea is that to cooperate with the United States, through the establishment of international trusteeship and forming coalition government to establish a pro-Soviet Union unified government in North Korea. As relations with the United States tensed and the political situation of North Korea changed, the Soviet Union tried to integration of political power in North Korea, to promote economic development, and to promote the Korean ethnic unity on this basis, so that through the full universal suffrage to set up a unified, pro-Soviet government. Interruption of work in the United States and the Soviet Union Council and the United Nations in South Korea alone after the election, support and help North Korea government alone, to realize the control of the North Korea, and confrontation with the United States.

  Reviewing the Relations Between Soviet-Japan Within the Framework of Neutrality Treaty Between the Soviet Union and Japan

  During most of the time of the Second World War, the Soviet Union and Japan had kept a special relationship on the basis of the neutrality treaty. The Soviet Union regarded Japan as the second enemy after Nazi Germany although there is no direct large-scale military conflict with Japan before August 1945. Despite this, the Soviet Union provided convenience and help to British and America which were fighting with Japan and became a de facto member of against Japanese aggression. Finally, the Soviet Union satisfied their own interests by direct participation in the war against Japan.

  The Role of Prisoners in the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union

  During the World War Ⅱ, a special group, Soviet prisoners, contributed to the victory of the Great Patriotic War by special ways,such as joining the army to fight with the enemy, taking part in the national defense construction, working in the factory to produce weapons, engaging in food production, lumbering and mining, and so on.

  Historical Study of the Japanese POW’s Repatriation from the Soviet Union after the WWII

  The Soviet Union captured hundreds of thousands of Japanese prisoners during the WWII, and most of them were transferred to various regions of the Soviet Union to engage in heavy manual labor. From the end of 1946, the Soviet Union began to repatriate Japanese prisoners to Japan. It didn’t finish until to 1956 when the diplomatic relation between the Soviet Union and Japan was established. Reviewing the process of repatriation is one way to understand the war legacy, development of relations between the Soviet Union and Japan and situation in East Asia.

  Impact of Russia’s Defense Spending on the National Military Strategy and Economy

  Finance is both the foundation of governance and an important pillar of a country to achieve policy objectives. Although Russia has repeatedly claimed that it doesn’t want to restart the arms race, but its defense spending still raised, showing the trend against intention. During past decade, Russia’s defense spending raised more than ten times and will also be raising in the next three years. The questions of the relevance between Russian defense spending and evolution of national military strategy, and the long-term impact of Russia’s defense spending raising rapidly on political, economic and social, will be discussed in this paper.

  Preliminary Analysis of the Historical and Cultural Roots of Extreme Islamism in Central Asia

  The development of Islam in Central Asia has "the cultural fault line" and it led to slow development of Islamic culture there and it was influenced by the outer-region Islam laggingly. Islamic revival in Central Asia promoted Islamic extremism in Central Asia and resulted in quantitative and qualitative changes of Islam in Central Asia. It also induced the evolution from radical thought of Islam to the extreme one, and change from fundamentalist organization to extremist groups. After independence, the states of Central Asia entered disintegration and reconstruction period of traditional society and traditional culture. Cracks in Islamic values and religious thought provided an opportunity for religious extremism.

  Review of U.S. Public Diplomacy to Kazakhstan

  Since independence of Kazakhstan, the United States pursued a continuous public diplomacy to Kazakhstan. American government cooperated with NGO to give special attention to Kazakhstan’s elite. The aim of many public diplomacy projects of the United States in Kazakhstan is to promote “democracy". Positive role of American public diplomacy in Kazakhstan should be evaluated objectively and at same time some problems of that policy should be checked.
